How do I register for the test?

To register for your IELTS test, visit www.ieltsgreece.org and set up your account.

Alternatively, you may call our Customer Service department and we will guide you through the process.

Please, make sure you have a colour scan of a valid identification document (national ID or passport) before you start the registration procedure.

The file size must not exceed 1.5MB.

To complete the registration, you must pay the test fee. Your place is not guaranteed until full payment has been received.

What documents do I need to upload for my registration?

Please, upload a legible copy of your national identity card or passport, ensuring both your photo and signature are visible. The document will be used as proof of identity. You must bring the same identification document to the test venue on your test day. If you do not have the correct identification document with you, you will not be allowed to take the test.

Please, note that you can only attach one document, so if your photo and signature are on separate pages you must insert both items into a single file.

The photo must meet the following format guidelines:

  • Photo Dimensions: at least 800×700 pixels
  • File Size: up to 1.5MB
  • File Format: doc, docx, gif, jpeg, jpg, pdf, tiff

How do I pay for the test?

There are two payment options.

You can pay online through PayPal using a credit/debit card or your PayPal account during the registration procedure, or offline through bank transfer or bank deposit.

In case of online payment, please note that PEOPLECERT uses PayPal as a card processing provider. You can either use your credit or debit card without creating a PayPal account (as a guest), or your PayPal account if you have one.

In case of offline payment, you must send the bank transfer or bank deposit slip to PEOPLECERT.

Can I register at the Test Centre?

PEOPLECERT offers you the option of submitting your application form at our Test Centre (Korai 3, Athens) from 9:30 to 5:30. Contact us and request the application form from us. You must bring your bank transfer or receipt along with your application form, in order to complete the registration procedure.

What is the test fee?

The test fee is €195.00 for the period of 1st January to 31st December 2017, for either IELTS Academic or General Training.

How will I know that my registration is complete?

Once you have successfully uploaded an identification document and provided proof of your payment, your registration will be complete.

If you choose the option of online payment, you will receive a confirmation email shortly after completing the registration procedure.

If you choose the option of offline payment, you will receive a confirmation email, once we receive and process your proof of payment.

Please, check your email account’s Spam or Junk folder to ensure the message was not filtered. The confirmation email contains important information including the test date, location, registration time etc.

What happens if I have not received a confirmation email?

On the test day you must present at the test venue the same identification document you provided during the registration procedure, e.g. valid national identity card or passport. What happens in case I need to request a test day transfer?

IELTS regulations are very strict regarding requests for transfer date.

Transfers should only be requested for serious causes.

How do I get prepared for the test?

What happens if I arrive late at the Test Centre?

It is important to arrive at the Test Centre at least 30 minutes before the test starting time. If you arrive 15 minutes prior to the examination procedure, you will not be allowed to take the test.

When will I receive my test results?

Your test results will be available online 13 calendar days after the test date and will be accessible on the Online Result Checker for 28 days.

You will receive an email notifying that your results are available online.

Test results may not be delivered via telephone, fax, or email.

How much is the extra time for students with dyslexia?

Test takers with dyslexia should normally be given 25% extra time- in severe cases (supported by the medical evidence) up to 50% may be appropriate.

How is IELTS scored?

When will I receive my Test Report Form?

Your Test Report Form (TRF) will be posted to you via PEOPLECERT’s courier services within 5 working days of results issuing.

The Test Report Form can only be issued once. Your photograph is on it and it is copy protected. There are no replacement copies, so make sure it is not lost or damaged.

What happens if I need copies of my test results?

When booking your test, you can request up to five copies of your test results to be posted or sent electronically to educational institutions, government bodies, government agencies, professional bodies and employers at no extra cost. We strongly advise you to notify the aforementioned institutions you are applying to of your results, that can be verified through our Test Report Verification Service.

How can I request a re-mark?

In the spirit of fairness towards the test takers, if you believe you should have obtained better marks, you can apply for a review of your results. You may contact us and request the enquiry on results form. You must submit your application within six weeks of the test date.

You can choose which section(s) will be remarked.

Remarking requires an enquiry fee which will be refunded to you if your band score changes.

The Enquiry on Results procedure may take up to eight weeks.

How long are the IELTS results valid?

IELTS results are valid for a period of 2 years. However, you should contact the institution/organisation to which you are applying to inquire, as some might accept an IELTS result which is older than 2 years.

In Greece, IELTS is recognised by ASEP with no bearing on expiry dates.

How soon can I re-sit the test?

There is no time limit on re-sitting the test, nor is there a limit to the times you wish to do so. PEOPLECERT suggests that you should consult with your language school/ teacher, in order to decide the best approach that should be followed.
